Senior Software Engineer
Joel has worn many hats in his life, including founder of a worker-owned bicycle shop, organic farmer, finish carpenter and energy-efficiency consultant. They all have the common thread of environmental focus. Now he puts his programming skills to work helping design and build code that powers EWG. He enjoys contributing to Open Source Software and learning new programming languages and frameworks. In his spare time he likes to go mountain biking or hiking. He lives in Rockville, Md., with his partner and son.
