EWG’s research team has developed a strict set of standards to be followed in the manufacturing of all products that bear the EWG VERIFIED mark.

The EWG VERIFIED mark demonstrates to consumers that a product meets our strictest criteria, which are based on a variety of health and environmental standards.

EWG VERIFIED baby and adult mattresses are:

• Made with transparency, with all ingredients and materials used publicly disclosed.
• Made with safer product materials and lower-emitting volatile organic compounds.
• Prohibited from using harmful chemical flame retardants and fiberglass.
• Prohibited from using PVCs and PFAS chemicals.
