This map shows the locations of 475 industrial sites known to produce or use the toxic fluorinated chemicals known as PFAS, or which are suspected of using PFAS. The sites were identified through the Environmental Protection Agency’s Chemical Data Reporting Rule database and Enforcement and Compliance History Online, plus a survey by the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. Locations marked on the map are approximate, determined from the addresses listed in the data sources, which may contain errors. This map does not purport to show sites of known PFAS discharges, but sites known or suspected of making or using PFAS.
