The size of the dot represents the number of animals estimated at each location, defined by small (50-200 cows), medium (200-500 cows), and large (> 500 cows). For unpermitted operations, the same # of animals were assumed for small, medium, and large operations in each county, with rates derived from the 2017 Agricultural Census.
