Grant Smith leads EWG’s work to accelerate the clean energy revolution into renewables and engender more equitable, transparent electricity policies. Smith began his career in consumer advocacy and environmental protection in the early 1980s at the Citizens Action Coalition of Indiana. He has also worked for the Civil Society Institute, in Massachusetts. Smith’s deep knowledge of utilities, state and federal energy policy and the growing role of renewable energy have been an invaluable resource for members of the media.
